I’m not usually a big group ride sort of guy, but this weekend my friend Phil and I joined Timpanogos Harely for a group ride over the Nebo loop—one of the prettiest rides in Utah. The fall leaves were beautiful, but the ride was so big I didn’t have the opportunity to stop and take a lot of of photographs, but I did take a few at the rest stop at the top of the pass. This view of Mt. Nebois from the road about 9,000 ft. in elevation.
The ride was very fun. It couldn’t have been a better day to ride the bikes. One of the guys I asked said he thought that there were probably close to 500 motorcycles on the ride. It’s quite an experience riding through small Utah County towns with a line of bikes that extends as far as you can see on the road in front and behind.
The ride included a poker run—and all I needed was one more club to have a flush.
After leaving Timpanogos Harely in Lindon, we exited the freeway at Benjamin and headed for Payson and Payson Canyon. Climbing up the canyon in the fall colors was beautiful. If the weather holds, I’d like to do this ride again next week to take more photos. Yes, it was that beautiful.
After we dropped down into Nephi, we headed back to the dealership for some pulled-pork sandwiches and a bike show that included a couple of really nice classic bikes, choppers and other custom bikes.
